SMALL PULL TYPE PLANTER

No matter what crop you are planting, field conditions, or tillage practice, Monosem has a planter that fits your needs. This planter delivers the precision and reliability Monosem is known for. Whether you are planting corn, soybeans, sweet corn, sunflowers, or pumpkins Monosem’s precision vacuum meter provides precision singulation and spacing with an easy to adjust seed scraper. Available in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 rows and 22″ and wide. Also available in custom configurations.

Optional Markers, Liquid Fertilizer, Dry Fertilizer, or Insecticide.

Down Pressure Options

Monosem provides a down pressure system for all soil conditions, residue, and terrain to provide consistent seed placement and depth control.

Quick Adjust Springs

  • 5 adjustment positions provide a wide range of down pressure for all types of soil and planting conditions. From 0 to 535 lbs of down pressure.

Monoshox

  • Ideal for conventional and no-till field conditions. The unique design and valving of the monoshox provided optimal depth control. A gas filled shock provides a smoother ride by independently reacting to varying field conditions. A coil over spring allows additional down pressure as needed by adjusting at the row.
MonoShox Air

Monoshox Air in Cab Control

  • The Monoshox Air provides the same great depth control as the Monoshox but with the ability to adjust from the cab. Using the same gas filled shock as the Monoshox to provide a smooth reaction to the soil but replacing the down pressure spring with an airbag for quicker down pressure changes.

Closing Wheels and Systems

Uniform emergence is based on proper seed-to-soil contact.
This is why we offer a full selection of closing systems to match your unique soil types.

Symmetrical Closing Wheel

Standard Rubber Tire Closing Wheels

  • All around wheel suited best conventional and no-till fields. Our standard wheels are staggered for improved flow and allow spacing adjustments.
Cast Iron Closing Wheels

Cast Iron

  • Suited best for heavier soils and residue. Allow you more pressure to close the furrow when needed. As with our standard wheels, they are staggered for better residue flow.
Spike Closing Wheel

Spike Wheel

  • Spiked closing wheels are best suited for wet conditions when planting, as they effectively reduce sidewall compaction and improve seed-to-soil contact. Sidewall compaction can occur when using standard closing wheels, particularly in high-moisture clay soils.

Disc Closing System

  • Generally used for conventional tillage and shallow depths in lighter soils. The disc moves soil against and over the seed while the press wheel applies easy pressure for good seed-to-soil contact. Each disc are adjustable for pitch and height.

Fertilizer Options

Liquid Fertilizer

  • Whether you are doing in-furrow or 2×2 liquid fertilizer, Monosem has a solution for you. Capacity ranges from 220 gallons on 4 rows and 300 total gallons on 6 and 8 row planters. Optional squeeze pump or John Blue piston pump.

Dry Fertilizer

  • Dry fertilizer comes standard with double disc openers. Also available in single notch disc option with optional depth band. Both available in Dry or Liquid options. Capacity ranging from 1100 lbs for 4 rows, 1650 for 6 rows, and 2200 total lbs for 8 rows.

Fertilizer Opener

  • Comes standard with double disc openers. Also available in single notch disc option with optional depth band. Both available in Dry or Liquid options.

Monitoring

DM-5150 Flow Monitor

  • Non-Population monitor is a quick setup and easy to use monitor. Providing a bar graph for a simple monitoring system. Also works great follow population crops like pumpkin seed spaced a long way apart.
DM-3750

DM-5750 Population Monitor

  • A stand-alone population monitor with individual row singulation information. Scanning each row providing max/min populations or individual row population so problems can be spotted quickly.

Seedstar2 ™

  • Available with ground drive monitoring or variable-rate drive, letting you change seeding rates on the go. Providing information such as average population, total acreage, and bar graph. Seedstar2™ using John Deere VT such as a gen 5 monitor. This allows you to store data using JD operations center.

Row Unit Clutches

  • Electric row unit clutch working with Seedstar2™ allows you to shut off individual rows, preventing over-planting on headlands and point rows. This helps reduce seed waste and potentiall increase yield.
